Day 1: Kidepo

Travel from Entebbe or Kampala to Kidepo, with a lunch break in Kitgum.

Your driver/guide will pick you from Kampala at 6.00am, You will start the drive to Kidepo Valley National Park with lunch en route at Gulu town Continue to drive past Kitgum town and be driven through Karamoja land up to Kidepo Valley National park. The park offers breathtaking Savannah landscapes, which end in rugged horizon. A huge latitudinal range and correspondingly wide climatic conditions have evolved an extremely diverse flora. Unique birds are found here like the Ostrich, kori bustard and secretary with 463 bird species. Kidepo have species not found anywhere in Uganda like the bat –eared fox, striped hyena, aardwolf, caracal and cheetah. In this park can meet prides of lions, herds of elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, eland, zebra and many more. Thus, the tour activities at the park begin the next day, dinner and overnight at Kidepo Savannah Lodge.
Day 2 - Two Game Drives

A road transfer to Volcanoes National Park takes approximately 3 - 5 hours’

Set out in search of magical encounters with the families of Mountain gorilla that makes the Virunga Mountains their home.

A wildlife experience with the magnificent mountain gorilla is like no other. Savour every second as you watch them foraging, playing, teasing each other, eating or slumbering in an uncanny resemblance to ourselves. At times the trek to view them may be arduous, with steep rises covered in dense vegetation. Inhabiting areas which are not easily reachable, gorillas reside where there is an abundance of food plants near the ground and think nothing of climbing incredibly lofty hills to get to them. Your formidable trek will be richly rewarded when you first set eyes on these extraordinary creatures. Try to spend as much time as possible in this phenomenal part of Rwanda, as it is a very special place.

When not trekking for gorillas, spend a morning searching the lush vegetation at the foot of Mount Sabyinyo for one of two habituated groups of golden monkey, one of them a troop of more than 80 members.

Explore this scenic landscape to where Dian Fossey carried out her ground-breaking gorilla research, traversing slopes covered with rainforest and bamboo

Take time to visit the local community and engage in the culture of the area, visiting a coffee plantation or local traditional homestead

Morning after breakfast do a game drive. You will most likely be able to view those animals that are unique to the African Savannah like giraffes, antelopes, lions, elephants, hyenas, buffaloes and the Uganda Kobs. The splendid Kidepo river valley dominated by borassus palm forest, startling savannah landscape and the stunning view of the Narus valley situated in the southwest of the park. To the north of Sudan at the Lotukei Mountains and the Morongole range which marks the southern boundary of the park and ending the trail at the Kanangorok hot spring with a view of a number of faunas that can be seen wandering around like the tall Ostrich. After will be driven back to Park bandas for lunch and resting

After lunch will take on another game drive in the evening exploring different wildlife in the area. Seeing herds of buffaloes, elephants and a variety of birds like ostrich herons, OR or visit the Kanangorok Hot Springs. Return to Kidepo Savannah Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Another Game Drive, But Different

Morning and evening game drive in the park exploring different wildlife in the area. The game drive will give you a chance for bird watching having a chance to see some of the rear bird and animal species like the cheetah and hunting dog, bat fox and stripped hyena, gazelles, zebras, Rothschild’s giraffes, antelope species include roan antelope, bush buck, bohor reed buck Jackson's hartebeest, Buffaloes, Elands, Bushbucks, Waterbucks, Elephants and the jackal, later return to the lodge for lunch. In the evening you will go for the Cultural tour in the Karamajong community and this will enable you spend some time with the locals where you will get to know more about their culture and ways of life and beliefs. From here you will understand by the end of the tour why their pride makes them slow to adapt to the dynamic world and their love for cattle is comparable to the better known Masai of Kenya and Tanzania. Return for dinner and overnight at Kidepo Savannah Lodge.

After a delicious breakfast you will be road transferred by road back to Kigali Airport for your outbound flight.
Day 4: Transfer Back To Kampala Airport

Morning after breakfast you will be driven back to Kampala. After stop for lunch on the way and proceed Arrival will be in the evening, then head to Entebbe airport for your evening flight back home.
